I loved the empty cup image as well. The thing is, we get some choice in the matter about what we pour into that cup.... the hard part is to keep emptying it so new can flow in and being open to trying new things that show up that want to be poured in. You certainly seem to have a grasp on that! Inspiration you are!!!
Thank you for your comment, Lynn. There is so much clutter in the way throughout the day making it difficult to make room for what has the power to nurture our spirit. Yes, the frustration is that we keep adding more clutter and refusing to let go of what is already in it. The Substack I just published today is about some moments I felt the power of the wind and sight and sound of ocean breakers blow the clutter away if only for a refreshing moment or two.
Thank you, Peter. I see you moving toward the "new you" not running away from the past but going forward into your future and what a great journey you're having! You have whittled down to the necessities and I admire your solo traveling light. As a frequent traveler, I can only imagine your encounters with people and places along the way. I appreciate your sharing with us fixed in our places most of the time. You are a wonderful traveler and miles to go before you sleep!
I have just arrived in a new location after a train, flight, and seven hour bud ride. I think I will sleep now for a bit. I am located near the ocean about twenty minutes outside of a town called Bundeberg Central in Eastern Australia in a small town called Elliott Heads.
